Terms and Conditions
Highland Horse Riding is open seasonally, from mid April to October.
Rides normally depart at 10.30am & 2pm. 0ther times by arrangement. (April open afternoons only, for 1 hour rides).
Please note that hill riding is not suitable for beginners or lead rein riders. A period of assessment may be included in all rides.
Children : the minimum age for all treks / hill rides is 12 years. Children over 8 years by special arrangement only.
Weight limit : maximum weight 12 Stone / 76kg
Approved helmets must be worn, these are provided free of charge.. Riding clothes are best, but not essential. Shoes or boots should be stout with low heels - no trainers! Comfortable trousers or jeans, gloves & warm, waterproof garments are recommended.
The climate is cool, mild and equable, but always changeable, the long days of spring and early summer offering some of the best riding conditions. Autumn brings more changeable weather, but also the brilliant autumnal colours.
Extreme weather: Treks or rides may be postponed, cancelled or the route changed due to weather or ground conditions.
The use of mobile phones / cameras is prohibited when on horseback, unless by special agreement.
No smoking in or around the yard or on horseback.
BOOKING : All bookings must be made in advance by telephone. Spaces are limited - please book early to avoid disappointment, preferably by the day before at the latest.
Payment by cash or guaranteed cheque.
